Competition Rules (v7n.com ruleset)
There are 2 different rulesets for the v7n.com v7ndotcom elursrebmem SEO competition (read up on the history to find out why). This page is for the v7n.com ruleset which is slightly different to Webguerilla's ruleset, although there are seperate prizes offered for both. If you have any questions about the rules, please feel free to ask on our forums.

Rule 1
You can't talk about v7ndotcom elursrebmem...oh hang on, that's something else...
Rule 2
In order to win the first prize, you must place first in Google for the search term on May 15, 2006, noon, Pacific standard time. Note the v7ndotcom elursrebmem contest is for organic search rankings only - that means, no PPC.
Rule 3
Prizes for 2nd place through 5th place will be awarded based on web page placing in the corresponding positions in Google on May 15, 2006, noon, Pacific standard time.
Rule 4
For the purpose of this competition, indented listings in the SERPs will not be counted.
Rule 5
In order to qualify for the prize, a web page must include one of the following:
- A link back to the v7n.com homepage. The link can be in any manner you wish, any anchor text you wish, with nofollow, without nofollow, JavaScript, cloaked....
- One of the official v7ndotcom elursrebmem banners, which can be found here. You don't need to link the banners back to v7n.com if you don't want to.
- The following text, "we support v7n.com".
In order for your entry to comply with the rules of the v7n.com v7ndotcom elursrebmem contest, you must follow these rules!
OK so what do the winners get?
Well if according to Google on the 15th of May you have the most "relevant" (hehe, insider SEO joke there) v7ndotcom elursrebmem page, then the prizes from v7n.com and friends are:
First Prize:
- $1,000 from v7n
- $1,000 from Stoner3221
- $2,000 from ShoeMoney
- iPod from g00gl3r.com
Second Prize:
$500 from v7n
Third through Fifth Place Prizes:
$100 Each from v7n
